So I have a question for you guys… Have you ever tried or have any opinion about the raw food diet? I always like to research and adapt healthy eating habits and this is something I have been stumbling upon lately. I did it for a day, and obviously, for a day it was very easy. Specially because I love fruit. And weirdest thing was that my friend and I went to a cafe that day (I was going to have just green tea), and turns out they have raw food nights every Thursday. There is a whole menu of drink, appetizer, dinner and even desert choices. I realize this diet has been around for years, but I didn’t know it was that popular. Any experiences?

Maybe some of you noticed that I was not posting for a little longer than usual. I was taking a little break from blogging and checking other blogs because sometimes it can take up so much of my time, I loose motivation to develop in other areas of my life. And even though I have nothing to show for it, this break has been very productive and enlightening. Now I have new energy and inspiration, and I’m super pumped to post again. I would like to encourage you to do the same. Not necessarily say “no” to blogs, but just pick anything that takes up a lot of your time (maybe facebook?) and try not to do that for a week or so. You will be surprised how much time you will have left for all those other things you should but never have time to do :)

This weekend has been very special for me. I attended Encounter Retreat with couple members of my church, and I just feel so refreshed, and excited for what’s to come for my future. God is freedom and no one will convince me of the opposite. Here is a song that expresses my feelings the best right now. Thrift Wednesdays

Yes, this is second Wednesday in a row that I feel a compulsive need to go thrifting. Why? Because, as it turns out, on Wednesdays everything is half off at Salvation Army.

So the body suit I am wearing is a complete gem I came across at a thrift store in the middle of nowhere. That was the only thing I liked there, with an exception of a vintage asian style dresser, but it was definitely worth stopping. I’ll mostly be wearing this shiny wonder under blazers and maybe big knitted cardigans. Not this time though because, of course, couple days after I had claimed it was going to be cold for the rest of our lives, 80 degree weather was back. I’m not complaining.



Also the other day, while watching documentary Bill Cunnigham New York, I did a little DIY project. Nothing special really, I made my own cut out shoulder top. Just cut out holes and hemmed them with a thread and needle. But I’m excited.

Either we want it or not, fall is here. October would probably be a good time to admit and accept that, and not expect to have 80 degree days anymore (for some reason we all still do. it’s almost like we feel that this is just a little cold wave passing through or something. no, people, it is just going to get worse). And with this change of weather, I’ve been feeling like making some changes too. Hair changes, clothing changes, but more importantly, accept some challenges and do some character changes. The other day my friend was telling me that she became a vegetarian because she likes to overcome her weaknesses, and her weak spot was meat. Well, I didn’t have to think about my weak spot too long… SUGAR! Mostly chocolate and ice cream for every meal, but cakes and candy are not that bad either. So I decided not to eat any sweets for 14 days, and then i’ll think of a limitation strategy. And you know what, it feels good to be able to say no to something you really want. I feel empowered and in control. Maybe this can translate into other areas of my life also. Little will power exercises like this just help build character. What do you think? What are your weaknesses?



And now moving on to the sweater I’m wearing. Recently I was the winner of a give away hosted by super glamorous rock star Jen of The Native Fox in collaboration with girls from InLoveWithFashion. I had been looking at their collections before so I was super excited to get the store credit. And you know, I like bangs and knits now so I picked the sweater. Next on my wish list from LOVE is a black sequin dress.

Beach and Dresses on BEACH & DRESS / GULF SHORES, AL

Yes, finally there are dresses and beach on Beach & Dress. Last weekend Alejandro, his family and I went to a small town by Gulf of Mexico called Gulf Shores, AL. Needless to say, we had a beautiful family time  and I didn’t take as many pictures, as I thought I would be. But here are some.

These two pictures above are pictures from a really cool hangout spot that is called exactly that - The Hangout.  It’s place with a restaurant, live music, games, bar on the beach, etc. 

I just love the beach culture.

We also spent couple days in Atlanta, but those turned out to be more like a shopping trip. I had nothing against that.

Also, just so you know because it’s SO important that you do, I have bangs now. I just felt like it’s the right season… big knit sweaters and bangs. Pictures soon to come.
